Project for Public Spaces & Doyle

Project for Public Spaces (PPS) is a non-profit that seeks to envision, plan and transform public spaces for the better. PPS has been a leader in the placemaking movement since its founding in 1975.

In 2020, Bruce Mau Design studio created a new identity based on a system of dynamic, fill-in-the-blank lines that reference the possibilities to express ideas in blank notebooks. With a vibrant color palette in the backdrop, the lines turn into playful doodles and filled with messages and stories set in Doyle. The flexible, evolving system captures the non-profit’s optimism and active participation in shaping communities and public spaces.
