To honor the 120th anniversary of the first meeting between Henry Royce and Charles Rolls, Magneto Magazine went to the childhood home of Charles Rolls. Located in Rockfield, this residence is the only full-scale Victorian country house in the county of Monmouthshire, Wales.

Andrew Frankel, writer of the article, examines the life, influence and enduring legacy of Charles Rolls. For the layout of this article, Peter Allen, Magneto’s art director, used Ceraph for titles. This new typeface was designed by Emma Percy and is available at SharpType. Ceraph comes with an almost infinite ligature set, which makes the titles and quote pages very interesting.

This article was published in issue 22 of Magneto.
